Where to find your Screen Time weekly report, and why it can go missing
Once a week, iPhone sends a notification that your Screen Time weekly report is available. Tap it and you land on a summary of the past week. If you missed it, cleared it or never got it, the report is still easy to reach: the notification only opens the weekly summary in Screen Time settings, and that summary is there whenever you look.
What the weekly report shows#
Apple's note under the switch that controls it lists three things: the time you spent on your devices in the past week, the apps and websites you used, and how often you picked up your device. In the Week view that means your Daily Average with a bar for each day, the categories, the Most Used apps, Pickups, and which apps sent the most Notifications. The notification itself gives the short version: your daily average and how it changed against the week before.
Where to find it when the notification is gone#
A Weekly Report notification you didn't tap waits in Notification Center: swipe down from the top center of the screen and scroll through your older notifications. If you cleared it, go to the report itself:
- Open Settings and tap Screen Time.
- Tap See All App & Website Activity.
- Tap Week at the top.
- Swipe left or right on the chart to move between weeks.
If you also use an iPad or a Mac with Share Across Devices on, tap Devices to choose which device the report covers. For a plain day-by-day walk through the weeks, here is how to check your Screen Time history.
How to turn the weekly report notification on or off#
Open Settings, tap Screen Time, then Customize Notifications, and set the Weekly Report switch. Menus moved between iOS versions; if you don't see Customize Notifications, look one level down under Manage Screen Time. The switch only controls the notification. With it off, Screen Time keeps counting and the Week view stays in Settings. Apple's guide doesn't say on which day it arrives.
Why the weekly report can be missing#
- App & Website Activity is off. Without it, Screen Time records nothing, so there is no week to report. If you see Turn on App & Website Activity in Screen Time settings, this is the cause.
- The Weekly Report switch is off, as above.
- Notifications from Screen Time are turned off or delivered quietly. Open Settings, tap Notifications, find Screen Time in the list, and check that its notifications are allowed with banners and sounds on. Notifications delivered quietly skip both and go straight to Notification Center.
- A Focus was on. A Focus silences notifications except from the people and apps you allow, so the report can arrive without a banner or sound. Look for it in Notification Center.
- You only just turned Screen Time on. The report covers a past week, so there may not be a full week to report yet.
If you switched App & Website Activity off and on again at some point, the older weeks are gone as well: in our own test that erased the usage history. More on what turning Screen Time off deletes.
What the weekly report can't show#
The report compares one week with the one before. That tells you whether last week went up or down. It can't show a trend over months, because iPhone keeps only about four weeks of Screen Time detail. You can page back a few weeks, and then the history ends. Whether this autumn looks different from last spring, or what a new job did to your evenings, is a question the report has no data for.
This is the part we build, so judge accordingly. finit keeps the weeks. It files each day's Screen Time into a record on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud, and shows week, month, year and all-time against your own average, with the apps that took the most. Two honest limits: finit records time per app, not pickups or notifications, so those stay with Apple's report. And it can only start from the weeks your iPhone still has.
The short answers#
Where is my Screen Time weekly report?
Open Settings, tap Screen Time, then See All App and Website Activity, and tap Week. That is the same summary the notification opens. A notification you didn't tap also waits in Notification Center.
How do I turn off the Screen Time weekly report notification?
In Settings, tap Screen Time, then Customize Notifications, and turn off Weekly Report. On iOS 26 you may find Customize Notifications under Manage Screen Time. Screen Time keeps counting, and the Week view stays in Settings.
Why am I not getting my Screen Time weekly report?
Check that App and Website Activity is on, that the Weekly Report switch is on, and that Screen Time notifications are allowed and not delivered quietly. A Focus can also silence the notification, which then waits in Notification Center.
Can I see Screen Time weekly reports from months ago?
No. iPhone keeps about four weeks of Screen Time detail, so you can only page back a few weeks. To compare months, the weeks have to be saved somewhere else before they expire, which is what finit does.
One week against the last is where the report stops. Here is why we keep all of them.
